Over the past 34 years some 39 AFL/VFL players have participated in Willowfest. Not many other events, Clubs or Associations could boast a line up of the likes of some of the names listed in this team. Many of the players who have participated over the years utilized Willowfest as a pre-season training schedule. I remember Shane Crawford fielding from fine leg to fine leg so he could practice his sprinting between overs. He may have even been seen doing pushups between deliveries.
The list of players is being added to every day, so we sure there are players we have missed. If you require a print out of the team please contact us and we will email it through to you.
If you are are aware of players who played Willowfest and are not in the side, please let us know so they can be included. The years we are selecting from are between 19977 – 2012.
The Team has been selected as part of our 35th year celebrations which will commence on the 27th December with a boat cruise
on the PS Mundoo. More details will follow for the re-union over the next few weeks.
